Problem Solving Advanced
At the Advanced level of Problem Solving you are focused on developing new problem solving processes and tools to improve systems, capabilities and processes within your own business unit, discipline area, or team. You are leading problem solving activities and testing, implementing and evaluating new solutions to improve professional and organisational performance, systems and capabilities. Within your role you will be working with your team and experts from other fields to define and analyse complex problems and establish effective solutions.
Problem Solving Intermediate
At the Intermediate level of Problem Solving you are improving work and team outcomes by systematically solving problems and addressing their root causes. Within your role you adapt standard analysis tools and procedures to define and resolve often non-standard problems and issues within your operational area. You can decisively choose the most effective solution to a problem and are able to monitor and effectively evaluate that chosen solution. You are able to effectively identify, analyse and resolve a problem that often has a range of component parts and possible solutions. You use information and your experience to generate a variety of approaches to resolve a problem.
Problem Solving Proficient
At the Proficient level of Problem Solving you are planning and identifying multiple approaches for solving complex and unpredictable business and operational problems. You are developing guides for your team using standard problem solving processes, techniques and tools. Within your role you are working with your team members and experts from other fields to define complex problems and evaluate optimal problem solving processes and the implementation of solutions. You display sound judgement when making decisions for your operational area involving complex problems. You are able to improve functional or professional outcomes by analysing and resolving complex problems. You frame solutions or guiding hypotheses that are sensitive to a variety of contextual factors in order to resolve problems.
